Schumetta McLendon began her design career in Malibu, California as a Project Manager at Burdge & Associates Architects. She then went on to work with Scott Halley & Associates Construction to gain hands on experience in the field.
Years of working with the best architects, builders and consultants gave her a strong base for her own architectural design firm. Her ability to understand a project from design to completion makes her a valuable asset to any project team.
In addition to her architectural work, Schumetta is a Planner with Indian River County Planning & Development Services in Vero Beach, Florida, and serves on the Board of the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce Florida.
Prior to working in architecture, Schumetta enjoyed a successful career in film and television at The Walt Disney Company, where she held roles in Casting, Feature Animation, and Corporate Alliances.
Schumetta has served in leadership positions as the Education Chair for the Association for Women in Architecture + Design, Co-Vice Chair of the American Institute of Architecture LA’s Women in Architecture Committee, and Design & Architecture Development Director for the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce Southern California.
An avid sports fan, Schumetta is the President of Giorgetti Athletics, a nonprofit she co-founded with Italian Olympian Alex Giorgetti. The organization offers elite water polo training, cross-training for student athletes, water safety classes, and special events for underserved communities.
